Convenience Tweaks makes a few changes to dialogue and gameplay for, well, convenience.
Dialogue Changes
- An extra dialogue option is added to Shoal so you do not have to sacrifice a party member (or get locked into PC's death).
- Officer Vai is replaced by a new NPC once she leaves. This allows the PC to continue selling bandit scalps and still get the reputation bonus.
- Brage can be asked to stay in place if the 'good' resolution is chosen instead of teleporting the party back to Nashkel immediately.
- Investigating the Merchants' League Estate - Brandilar is made into an ally (green circle) for the mass battle against the doppelgangers in the dining hall. This is to work around the bug that causes the quest to become unfinishable if he kills a doppelganger.
Other Changes (can be installed individually)
- Indestructible Rats - Those Candlekeep rats are really annoying, aren't they? Especially on LoB mode. Removes the 90% physical resistance on the rats to make them much easier to kill.
- Suicidal Neera - Everyone loathes Neera's introductory battle in BG1 for multiple reasons. This change hopefully makes it a little less frustrating by having Neera join the party (if there is a slot available) instead of functioning as an ally with suicidal AI. This also means Neera can be revived in case she is killed during the battle. If the party is full then original behavior is followed. WARNING: kicking Neera out during the battle may cause undesirable results. Best to avoid trying it.
