[Bard Kit] Charlatan [IWDEE, EET, BGEE, BG2EE]

CHARLATAN: Charlatans are masters at manipulating people. Using their high Intelligence and understanding of human nature, they prey upon the foolish, overconfident, and greedy people around them. Charlatans often seem bold and boisterous, but they always maintain self-control. The profession of swindling others and making them feel good about it is an age-old practice and none are better at it than Charlatans.

Advantages:

- Starting at level 1, may use the Charm, Friendly and Perceive The Truth abilities at will.

CHARM

The Charlatan charms a victim during one turn. To be successful the target must be humanoid, non-hostile and fail a Saving Throw vs. Death with a -1 penalty for every three levels of the Charlatan (maximum -3). There's a 5% chance that the victim will notice PRO_HISHER intentions and go hostile. To keep the facade, the Charlatan can't cast any sort of spells during 1 turn.

FRIENDLY

The Charlatan manipulates a crowd giving PRO_HIMHER a boost of 5 points to Charisma. There's a 5% chance that the crowd will notice the Charlatan's intentions, dropping the party's Reputation by 1.

PERCEIVE THE TRUTH

The Charlatan is a professional liar and cheater and can perceive when someone is trying to mess with PRO_HIMHER. Using this ability the Charlatan have a 5% chance per level of dispelling hostile spells from the Illusion school in a 60-ft. radius area.

Disadvantages:

- Minimal of 16 Charisma
- Alignment restricted to non-Lawful
- Can only use up to and including studded leather.
