Could an equipped items modify an existing innate ability?

Would this be possible?

I was thinking about the "Change Bard song (251)" mechanism for the HLA Enhanced Bard Song

Would it be possible to change another innate ability for example a berserker's berserk ability, or a kensai's kai ability?
