Installing the brightness mod

Hi all, I've downloaded the mod to allow you to adjust the brightness on BG1 EE, but when I try to run it, it says there's a 'fatal error' and I need to install it in the Infinity Engine directory, which I can't seem to find? Has anyone seen this?
