This mod is a continuation of my previous minor mod on this thread: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/17611/narbucchads-demise-wizards-staff/p1 which I have decided to finally put into modding section.

This mod contains 7 Wizard's Staffs available in High Hedge stock. They all have same characteristics, but have different color, mainly to fit different color styles of NPC mages.

Staffs have unique paperdoll animations which I have accidentally discovered some time ago, but lacked an inventory paperdoll, which I then drawn myself. I have also edited few existing icon bams to fit colors of individual staffs. Lastly I have edited several projectile files (PRO files) which, I believe, the game currently doesn't use (I guess they are leftovers) and created energy projectiles which all fit the color of their staffs' gems (See the screenshot below).

To avoid messing with dialog.tlk I have used existing strings. All these staffs are called "Wizard's Staff" and have kinda vague and inaccurate description. So I write it down here. They all have both melee and ranged attack with ranged attack being default one. They are all +1 enchanted, so the melee attack is standard 1d6 +1. Ranged attack then does magical 2d2 +1 damage, with +1 to hit bonus.

That should be all of it. To play this mod just put everything in the rar folder to your override folder.

UPDATE:

I have added three magical circlets to the High Hedge stock. These circlets are only restored, as they already exist in the game files, with proper names and descriptions. Because of that, it only took updating HIGHHEDG.STO file, which is again in the updated Wizard_Staffs.rar file. These circlets have (tiny) paperdoll animations, however (again) no inventory animation. The second rar file contains inventory paperdoll animations that I drawn for them, and also slightly tweaked hooded robe animations, as they were originally overlapping (see the updated screenshot). And because I'm not totally confident with the result, I decided to add them in the separate rar.

UPDATE 2:

All staffs and circlets are now available in the Black Pits, with Xithiss, after the first upgrade of his stock. Note that I have not played the Black Pits, so I have not tested it, but there should not be any problem. However if there is, let me know.

UPDATE 3:

This, probably last, update deals with robes. As I strive to make mages look as cool as possible with this mod, I had to tweak them a little. This part is only visual. Basically, there are 3 visual types of robes. Basic (robes of resistances), basic with cape (traveler's, etc.), and basic with cape and hood (robes of archmagi). With this mod I added to every one of the nine robes in the game the possibility to look as any of these 3 visual types. So every robe looks as original by default, but has two item abilities, which can change their looks to the other 2 visual types. This allows to set the favourite look for your wizard (and overcome some graphical glitches - elven female horribly colored leg comes to mind...). This part is contained in the third rar file. There are two folders in it, as there are two versions of this mod. One contains all robes with their original colors. Second folder contains robes without their "set color" values, thus recolorable by player's choice.
Note, that as a side effect of this, I had to make all robes automatically identified.
