Request: BG:EE / BG2:EE gay romance? (Girdle-free :P)

The rpg's i've seen today are more open to this subject and i was hoping BG:EE and BG2:EE can be the same.
(RPG's like, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fable, The Elder Scrolls).

Um, would it be a lot of work to be able to do this?
im not a modder myself,
but i'm assuming a change in script in the male/female npcs to not differentiate male/female to start a romance is all that is needed to make this possible.
but then again, i don't know if this is a lot of work.
