Is there an example or a tutorial on changing NPC's existing dialogues? I can pass them through a D and just rewrite-replace them, but I'd rather extend them with my own states etc.

After SOD: Adding Items from one EE title to Another
So looking in the EEkeeper files I noticed that not all the new Siege of Dragonspear Items have been added to Baldur's Gate 2 (EE)'s files, meaning they can't even be accessed by the player even through the save editor, which is a shame because I thought some of the rather unique and class specific items could spice up my latest BG2 play through, especially some of the one's you get rather late in SOD and barely have time to play with or one's that beefed up underrepresented weapon categories and classes. And this reminded me also that Icewind Dale EE had its own suite of items that added variety to certain weapon styles, proficiencies and class builds.
So my question is: What's the simplest way to add game specific items from one EE title to another? I know I can copy and add the item files to the override folder, but I assume it will still be missing much of the inventory art and text descriptions. It there a way to do many quickly and in bulk, or will I have to do it more painstakingly item by item, because I would still be willing to do that, since, for the moment, I'm probably most interested in using a few SOD items in BG2 so as to not unbalance my game.
So my question is: What's the simplest way to add game specific items from one EE title to another? [Mod] Lefreut's enhanced UI (for BG1EE, BG1EE+SoD, BG2EE and EET)
Hello,
This mod contains the full UI.menu (and resources) and should be used only if you don't have any other UI modifications. Otherwise, I publish most of the individual tweaks in this forum and you can install them with @AncientCowboy mod.
This mod is compatible with BG1EE, BG1EE+Sod, BG2EE and EET.

BG1NPC v22.6 and BG1NPC Music Pack v6
BG1NPC Project and BG1NPC Project Music Pack have been updated and officially released!
Main changes are BG:EE compatibility for both, and inclusion of "short versions" (30 seconds) of all music pieces in the music pack.
BG1NPC Project
This mod expands on the depth of character and levels of interaction with the NPCs from the BG game. When BG2 was released, one of the major improvements in many peoples' eyes was the increased level of interaction one could have with the party members. This mod was developed to allow BG players a similar experience. NPCs in your party now have banters with the PC , with each other, and small side-quests of their own. As we were unable to get the original character voice actors to voice all the new lines, we instead sought out music appropriate to each NPC to be played whenever they initiate banter. This musical package is a separate, optional package (to keep the download size down).

* Safana's response to PID option "Do you have any advice, Safana?" References Narlen Darkwalk, even in Chapter 1. Corrected triggers to not show this response until after Narlen has been encountered.

* The XZNI1.6 dialog in xzint.d has an issue with the conditions. If Montanan is in the party, alive, but disabled (e.g., held, panicked, etc..), the dialog cannot continue. Updating the second transition condition to be "OR(3) !InParty("montaron") !InMyArea("montaron") StateCheck("montaron",CD_STATE_NOTVALID)" which is the opposite of the first transition, ensuring one branch can fire.
* Updates to Coran's Succubus Quest
* Updates to close open quest journal entries at quest conclusion. Added "close quest" journal entries.
* If you refuse the quest initially, Coran no longer becomes instantly "charmed" before he has been given the roses. He has a more appropriate reaction to your refusal of Amelia.
* Scripting updates to account for players force-attacking Amelia. Amelia will now turn hostile and attack the party. If Natan has not been talked to, remove him if Amelia is force-attacked (quest is aborted). If Natan has been talked to, increment X#CoranSuccubus to 13 to allow quest to complete.
* Coran will now become "charmed" by Amelia when in her presence if Natan is "charmed" (i.e., has been shown the roses).
* Amelia was a very difficult battle for BG1, so she has been toned-down to be more appropriate for BG1.
* HP, THAC0, AC, Saving throws updated to be in line with PnP succubus stats.
* Only immune to non-magical weapons
* On BGEE (or Tutu/BGT installs with 1PP Wings), Amelia's combat appearance now has wings (defaults to previous fire elemental appearance on installations without 1PP Wings).

* In Tutu, when refusing Cythandria's surrender, Dynaheir will turn hostile. Danaher's interjection is inheriting an Enemy() action from Cythandria. Only affects Tutu, Cythandria's dialogue state 6 has an "Enemy()" action which is not present in BG:EE and BGT. Solution is to remove the Enemy action() in Tutu.
* Kivan gives his reaction to Prism's death upon entering the Nashkel Mines area even if he wasn't in the party when Prism died. Adding a See("prism") check to script block in kivan.bcs. That should prevent the trigger from firing long after Prism is dead (and the corpse is removed).
* Safana's response to PID option "Do you have any advice, Safana?" References Narlen Darkwalk, even in Chapter 1. Corrected triggers to not show this response until after Narlen has been encountered.
* Correcting "Bruno" DV in x#yeint2.baf. (MadMate)
* Updated item slots for x#david and x#dragon to place items in correct slots. (MadMate)
* The XZNI1.6 dialog in xzint.d has an issue with the conditions. If Montanan is in the party, alive, but disabled (e.g., held, panicked, etc..), the dialog cannot continue. Updating the second transition condition to be "OR(3) !InParty("montaron") !InMyArea("montaron") StateCheck("montaron",CD_STATE_NOTVALID)" which is the opposite of the first transition, ensuring one branch can fire.
* Updates to Coran's Succubus Quest
* Updates to close open quest journal entries at quest conclusion. Added "close quest" journal entries.
* If you refuse the quest initially, Coran no longer becomes instantly "charmed" before he has been given the roses. He has a more appropriate reaction to your refusal of Amelia.
* Scripting updates to account for players force-attacking Amelia. Amelia will now turn hostile and attack the party. If Natan has not been talked to, remove him if Amelia is force-attacked (quest is aborted). If Natan has been talked to, increment X#CoranSuccubus to 13 to allow quest to complete.
* Coran will now become "charmed" by Amelia when in her presence if Natan is "charmed" (i.e., has been shown the roses).
* Amelia was a very difficult battle for BG1, so she has been toned-down to be more appropriate for BG1.
* HP, THAC0, AC, Saving throws updated to be in line with PnP succubus stats.
* Only immune to non-magical weapons
* On BGEE (or Tutu/BGT installs with 1PP Wings), Amelia's combat appearance now has wings (defaults to previous fire elemental appearance on installations without 1PP Wings).
* Updated combat script, inspired by Kirinhale's from TotSC
* Many dialog typo fixes.

-Overview-
The "Awesome Soundsets Volumes" are collections of sound sets with subtitles that can be used for player characters in Baldur's Gate 1 Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition or Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition.
* At the moment Siege of Dragonspear is not supported.

Here's a link to a mod shell so that you can make your own soundset collections with subtitles
If you enjoyed any of the soundsets and you do not already own the game that the soundsets come from, you are largely encouraged to buy the related games, both because they're excellent games on their own, and because this way you're giving something back to the game developer.
If you are interested in contributing to these mods or have suggestions, please post below
"Awesome Soundsets" Volumes feature up to 33 sounds w/ subtitles in IWDEE, 25 in BGEE, and 29 in BG2EE. The default soundsets in IWDEE feature 25/33 sounds and BGEE default soundsets only use 15/25 sounds. Soundsets added with this mod use up to the maximum number of sounds - depending on if appropriate sounds are available.
The weidu installer will install the correct number of sounds possible with subtitles for each different installation. Using weidu you can also add and remove individual soundsets as you like.
This thread can be used to request soundsets, commentary, to report problems or even just to let me know that you like these.

Rough World (beta)
In essence, the mod intends to change the tone of the games reputation system, add a bit of difficulty, and make the world feel not quite as forgiving.
The concept behind this mod is to make the world a rougher place. Low reputation characters are considered to be absolutely horrid human beings - so there is a very low expectation that they will assist anyone. When they do it is regarded as being an exceptional act. As a result low reputation characters now have a lower bar to donating to increase their reputation than higher reputation characters. Merchants are also actually now inclined to give them a discount - if only to ensure they themselves are not hurt.
Likewise, because the world is such a dark and unforgiving place characters that have higher reputation amounts are seen in a much more positive light. People are more willing to forgive them should they make a mistake (such as killing a civilian).
It also includes some of the components I've been working on for my upcoming Eve of War mod. This includes a component that significantly changes how chapter 7 is handled in the game. You can find more details on this below.
The mod also has other components that increase the games difficulty.
Installation order: It should probably be installed after any quest or romance mods but before any other tweak mods. However, I could be wrong here so please feel free to report any issues you have with this working with other mods so we can determine the best time to install this.
Scaled Spawning should be installed before you install Fixed Insane Difficulty
This mod has 9 components:
Scaled Spawning (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
Scaled spawning adds new creatures (including creatures that you would otherwise not encounter in BG1) along the main (critical) path of the game. This is in part based on your difficulty level. This also does not change the AI for these creatures (so if you want a challenge there you might want to look into something like SCS). These are all just one-time encounters (they won't respawn).
Sparse Resting (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
Sparse Resting changes the probability of successfully resting in some areas based on your difficulty setting. In some cases it may now be extremely difficult to successfully rest. It will also open up the option to rest in other areas (that previously blocked resting).
Chapter 7 Hardcore Component (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
The chapter 7 hardcore component does three things
1. It makes it so that when you hit chapter 7 you lose access to all areas within the City of Baldur's Gate (as well as the farm area). The only way to access the city (and to leave as well) is to pay a smuggler to bring you into and out of the city. The smuggler can be found near the bridge in the bridge area.
2. It makes it so that your movement within the city is very limited. You are only able to move one area at a time - even if you have previously explored a section of the city.
3. It adds Flaming Fist patrols to the streets
These restrictions will end at the end of Sarevok's coronation ceremony.
Improved Beggars Component (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
Beggars now have flies flying overtop of their heads. Extremely low reputation parties can give them a donation and (provided they acted respectfully when doing so) can get a small reputation increase.
New Reputation Names Component
This component renames the description you get for your given level of reputation to one of the following
Savior
Hero
Adventurer
Medler
Ruffian
Thug
Sadist
Reputation Rebalanced Component (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
This changes reputation in a couple of ways
- Higher and lower reputation characters get better prices in stores. A character with around 10 reputation for instance would pay more for a good than one with 1 or 20.
- Starting reputation only varies between 9 and 11 now (depending upon your starting alignment).
- A low reputation character killing someone in law enforcement is now unlikely to cause further reputation losses. Killing civilians however will.
- The reaction modifier for players with higher reputation is improved. Players with 20 reputation now will get +7 to reaction instead of +4. This essentially makes the progression more even than in the vanilla game (at least compared to how low reputation's are handled).
- Very low reputation characters will pay less to see a reputation improvement from donating to a church.
Innocence Re-Conceived Component (BGEE Original Campaign Only)
Changes who the game considers to be "innocent", meaning that killing people found in obscure locations (defined as being either a diagonal location or more than one (e,w,s,n) area away from an urban area) will not result in a reputation loss.
Also makes it so that if you are a paladin that kills an innocent person you lose your paladin status. Rangers however do not face this restriction.
Only Autosaves
This Component makes it so that you cannot save the game. You must rely on autosaves (and your own wit) to make your way through it.
Fixed Insane Difficulty
This component turns Legacy of Bhaal into effectively a game where you are permanently playing on the insane difficulty setting.
Note: I do not recommend you install the Fixed Insane Difficulty and Only Autosaves components after you have already started a game. The results could be very mixed if you do so.

[MOD][BETA] Tome and Blood: More Options for Wizards and Sorcerers
Tome and Blood v0.70 is now available for download.
Tome and Blood is the largest arcane magic mod for the Infinity Engine games. The current version of Tome and Blood boasts reworks for all existing Mage and Sorcerer kits, five original and unique Sorcerer kits, and nine mechanics tweaks directed at arcane magic and associated systems.
The current release of Tome and Blood offers the following features. A more comprehensive readme is available online here (Chrome only) or as a pdf file attached to this post.
REVISED SPECIALISTS
This component revises the Specialist Mage features to emphasize the unique specialties of each school of magic, and establishes Necromancy as the only prohibited school of magic. Each type of specialist now automatically gains spells of their chosen school, as well as protection against the magic they typically wield.
REVISED DRAGON DISCIPLES
This component expands Dragon Disciples to include the various other types of dragons, rather than just fire dragons. There are four Dragon Disciple kits, each one dealing with a specific element tied to several different types of chromatic and metallic dragons.
MAGUS
This component introduces the Magus kit for Sorcerers, which blends martial prowess with arcane knowledge.
FAVOURED SOUL
This component introduces the Favoured Soul kit for Sorcerers; Favoured Souls trace their sorcerous powers to the gods, and thus gain access to spells usually beyond the reach of Sorcerers.
REVENANT DISCIPLE
This component introduces the Revenant Disciple kit for Sorcerers, which represents Sorcerers who can attribute their powers to some undead ancestor.
SYLVAN DISCIPLE
This component introduces the Sylvan Disciple kit for Sorcerers, which is for Sorcerers who develop their mystical powers due to some long-forgotten intermingling of mortal and fey.
AMORPHOUS DISCIPLE
This component introduces the Amorphous Disciple kit for Sorcerers, a kit for Sorcerers with the foul ichor of oozes running through their veins.
INNATE FIND FAMILIAR
This component makes Find Familiar an innate ability for all Mages and Sorcerers.
ARMORED CASTING FOR BARDS
This component enables Bards to cast arcane spells while wearing Leather and Studded Leather armors.
ARCANE CRAFTING
This component grants Mages and Sorcerers the ability to use their powers to craft magical items, such as wands, potions, and scrolls.
CANTRIPS
Cantrips are minor magical effects that Mages and Sorcerers can manifest at will. This component offers two options for cantrip systems: innate and first level. Innate cantrips are minor abilities that are usable once per six seconds. First level cantrips revises all first level spells and allows them to recharge upon use. Both components offer Mages and Sorcerers the ability to never run out of spells.
SPELL TWEAKS
This component revises various spells in order to balance the list of spells available from each school. Some spells have been moved to different levels or schools and some are more extensively affected.
METAMAGIC
This component changes certain metamagic-type spells into innate abilities and revises the various magical protection defenses and counters.
ABILITY SCORE BONUSES
This component provides bonuses to Mages, Sorcerers, and Bards with sufficiently high primary attributes. These bonuses include low level spell slots, and, for Sorcerers, caster level bonuses.
SPELL SELECTION DIALOG
This component fundamentally changes the way that Sorcerers learn new spells. Instead of selecting spells during character creation and at level-up, Sorcerers are now granted an innate ability (Spell Knowledge) that emulates the spell selection screen through a dialogue menu.
INSTALLATION
In order to install this, simply extract the attached TomeAndBlood.rar file to your data/00### folder and run SetUp-TomeAndBlood.exe. If you have an existing version of TomeAndBlood, it is strongly encouraged to completely uninstall the old version before installing this version.

The Baldur's Gate 1 Standalone Mod
This is a mod that I've been working on for quite a while, and I'm still adding to it. The goal is to turn Baldur's Gate 1 into a "high-level" adventure, where you are much more powerful, but so are the enemies. All the party members have several additional powers, and in general are a good deal stronger than they are initially. However, the enemies get additional powers too, and their new abilities are much more ridiculous than those of the companions. I haven't actually changed the experience cap, though the party will reach it a bit quicker. By the end of the game, the party will probably reach mid to late Shadows of Amn power, but by that point they will facing enemies that would be formidable even for Throne of Bhaal!
As of 1/29/17:

So after SCS, and after aTweaks.

What is this?
This started out as my own personal set of tweaks that I did on top of a fully modded game. It includes some basic mechanical tweaks (e.g. modified stat bonuses and an overhaul of the proficiency system), some cosmetic changes (e.g. FR-themed paladin kit names, and magic items that don't break immersion by putting '+2's and '+5's in your face), and roughly 15 new kits.
This is all about improving gameplay.
I love mods that bring the game closer to PnP, like Rogue Rebalancing and aTweaks. But BG is a single-player computer game. If tweaking a rule makes this specific game more fun, then it's a good tweak, PnP be damned. Consider this mod as a collection of 'house rules' specific to the BG campaign. Every choice has been made with an eye to the particular gameplay mechanics of BG2 and the EEs.
I try to make this as compatible as possible with other mods.
Notwithstanding the above paragraphs, this mod is 100% compatible with RR and aTweaks. This is meant to be applied alongside those mods - not instead of them.
Everything is completely optional.
You can use as many or as few of the mod components as you like. None of them rely on each other, there is no 'core' component. Use what you like, ignore what you don't.
A very general idea of what the mod contains (not in this order):
1) Basic game tweaks. These components modify the following:
- reducing the number of +'s in in-game item descriptions, and standardizing item enchantment into normal, 'mastercraft,' 'enchanted' (+2), named weapons (+3), and artifacts (+5)
- slightly improved stat bonuses, saving throw tables, HP tables, XP tables, and spell tables
- an overhaul of the weapon proficiency system
- minor tweaks and rebalancing for vanilla warriors, rogues, and divine classes
- revised kensai kit that actually specializes in one weapon class, like the description says
- MAJOR revisions to druid shapeshifting
- wizards class changes, including at-will cantrips, innate metamagic, and tweaks to the spell battle system
- MAJOR specialist wizard kit and spell school changes, making all 8 specialists fun and unique
2) New kits, all balanced against the vanilla game and based on solid, lore-friendly 2E and FR sources.
- 2 new fighter kits (Corsair, Marksman)
- 4 new ranger kits (Mage Hunter, Barbarian Ranger, Elven Archer, Halfling Slinger)
- 7 new cleric kits (priests of Selune, Sune, Tymora, Leira, Shar, Malar, Baervan Wildwanderer)
- 2 new druid kits (Purifier, Elementalist)
- 2 new thief kits (Scout, Sniper)
- 5 new bard kits (Jongleur, Loremaster, Gallant, Meistersinger, Loresinger of Milil)
- 10 new multiclass kits! (Bladesinger, Spellfilcher, Spellbender, multiclass priests of Mask, Mystra, Arvoreen and Brandobaris, and more)
3) NPC modifications. These components allow you to apply some of the new kits, or some original kits, to various NPCs. (This is basically for EE players who can't use the Level1NPCs mod.)
A note on installation:

Art Resources from Lionheart
There was a thread over at Spellhold that talked about extracting the art resources from a game called Lionheart. It was concluded that it was extremely difficult to so and the idea of taking screenshots and stitching them together would be the best way about doing this.
I'm planning on recreating the art resources but I just need to know if this has already been done. Particularly how far the makers of the Classic Adventures mod got in doing this.
I just spent the last hour stitching together the "Barcelona Port District" map. I still have to recreate the north sections and remove the smokestacks but it looks like I got the bulk of it done. The area would be a perfect location for a Calimport map for the basis of a ToB expansion mod.

Hi, I'm new to the forums, and I was wondering if I could get some help with this...
I'm looking for a level cap remover for Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword coast, as I am running a solo fighter and would like the extra experience. I've seen various threads and forums that have advertised a level cap remover, but they're all for the enhanced edition.
The thing is, I'm running the Baldur's gate game off of GoG.com, the classic version, not the enhanced edition. I was wondering if anyone here knows of any level cap remover that would work with this version of the game.

Alter visual animation effect
Opcode 339. Not sure what this does even after some experiments. Anyone play with this? Also is there anything newer than IEDSP http://gibberlings3.net/iesdp/opcodes/index.htm ? They have quite a few unknowns and 20 or so that are missing at least. And those they are missing are obviously the newest most interesting codes.

Leather armor...with pants sprite request
Hello everyone, This is my first post so I'm going to get to the point. I love Baldurs Gate 2, but I hate the leather armor with no pants. This is a problem for me because I want to create a witcher or mercenary type character. I would use the chain mail but I don't like the sprite either. I know that Sentrizeal was supposed to create a leather armor sprite with pants. I have tweeted him and have waited for about a few years. So I have given up on him. So I am begging someone who knows how to mod sprites to make the leather armor have pants. I tried to use the vanilla leather armor, but I cant get past the no pants. I know people on this site are talented modders and I would be grateful for whoever does this. Hope to see results. Thanks!

[MOD] IWD GUI for BG2:EE and BG:EE
this mod is mostly a reskin for bg2:ee, made with graphics from iwd:ee. If you want to install this mod on bg:ee, check out DJKajuru's post on page one (it has a nice image attached, you can't miss it)!
i made this since i don't like original or enhanced gui design in bg games (like, at all), but think iwd:ee had quite a nice look to it. take a look at the screenshots and see for yourself if you like it.
installation- download link to .rar files is at the bottom of the page (ignore the last screenshot image, it shows as attachment for some reason but only rar file are important). download ALL THREE parts and unrar/unzip them. copy the content of both folders into "override" folder in your bg2:ee installation folder. that's it.
to uninstall, simply delete all the files you've copied. (fastest way to uninstall would be to make a backup of your override folder before installing the mod and simply replace override folder with backup version)
two warnings-
1. mod was made for 1920x1080 display with "scale UI" turned off in graphical settings. weird things could happen if you use this mod scaled or with different resolutions, but it might work for you, i don't know.
2. since UI is not scaled, i tried to compensate for microscopic small portraits by enlarging portraits in sidebar and conversations. in order for this to work, you have to install high-res-portraits mod found here :
